Tooting our own horns

Tommy and I both ran in the Cooper River Bridge Run (10k) this past weekend. It was such an awesome experience. It was my first race. I ran a little slow for part of the time (going up the bridge), but I still ran the whole time. I finished in 1:09:37, which is about an 11 minute mile. I know it's a little slow, but not too bad for my first race. Next year, I want to beat my time by several minutes. Tommy finished in 1:00:52, which I thought was great. Congrats to my sister and our friends Jamie and Scoot too, who also had really good times. Tommy's family rents a house at Folly every year for this event, but 2 out of the past 3 years, I was pregnant, so we didn't go. This year, we celebrated our nephew Blake's birthday. Here is a picture of the children dying Easter eggs on Saturday. I will look forward to this tradition every year from now on. What a wonderful weekend!
